Millennium Maxwell House Hotel

Hypericon 2016 is a weekend in Nashville, TN for t his popular arts conference; festively uniting creators, makers, and performers with those who appreciate and aspire to their craft.

We believe the digital world in which we thrive to be most complete when enhanced by the tactile experiences of fan culture. The flip of the page, the roll of the dice, the handshake or embrace of dear friends we have taken on as our family….

As a social mission, we have committed to promoting the continuation of literacy within the popular arts culture, and connecting enthusiasts of all ages and all genres to the foundations of their fandom.

Nashville’s Convention, at a Legendary Location!

Southern vibe meets modern accommodations in this local fan-favorite venue for hosting genre events. The Maxwell House sits right next to I-65, with a Starbucks across the street, Historic Germantown’s trendy and delicious food scene just five minutes down the road, and immediate access to downtown.

This year, we’re stepping up the convention space big time, too – with more room for our geekery than ever before! Each space – dealers, programming, and gaming – is as large as our whole con space combinedin recent past years! You’ll love the layout almost as much as you’ll love the killer skyline view from your room!

As an added bonus each room includes one three-day badge!

Probably the most remarkable thing about Hypericon is our Signature Event lineup! We’re planning some entertainig new programming as well as the reutrn of some old faves! A few of those unique diverseions are previewed here, with more to come!

A Luau?

Yes! A luau! How many conventions have you been to which feature a luau? Grab your most ridiculous Hawaiian shirt an join us for this festive, memorial, charity event.

The Goblin King Ball

You remind me of the babe…

Mix and mingle at this year’s dance – The Goblin King Ball! Celebrate the wierdness and artistry made fab by the one and only David Bowie, in this themed affair. Details TBA, but you’re going to want to shine up that crystal and bone up on your juggling!

Opening Line Contest

It may not be a dark and stormy night, but the time is right for the 189th annual Worst Opening Line Contest.  Show up and bring your D game, because you’ll be asked to make up an opening line on the spot. Can you write something so cringe-worthy that our panel of judges don’t want to read any further?
