Characters are teens navigating eerie happenings in their neighborhood and the perils of life in the 1980s. In this case\, a classmate has gone missing\, and the adults seem clueless about where to search for him. This scenario is located in rural eastern Kentucky\, rather than sub-urban Indiana. The story blends the real and alternate history of the area. This game has horror elements but is targeted at a PG -13 rating. There will be some violence (perhaps even firearm use)\, drug references\, and hopefully a spooky vibe. \n Get Tickets \n \nThe Town Where Nothing Goes Wrong(D&D 5E)\nRan by Neil Wehneman (he/him)\nLevel: 1Characters: Pregens provided \nDescription:  \nHappy Hills is a special sort of town. The players’ crew must re-establish communications with a remote terraforming colony. \nMothership is a sci-fi horror game set in deep space. The rules are super simple — no experience necessary. A mysterious beast is ravaging the countryside and the Society is the Knez’s only remaining option to help find and capture it. To date\, it has eluded all normal forms of tracking and capture\, and the nature of the attacks doesn’t conform to anything natural. According to your briefing dossier\, one local resident and two tourists have seen a strange creature in the waters of Lake Stockton\, a massive and deep aquifer south of town. Rumors of a “Lake Stockton Monster” are spreading through the region\, attracting gawking tourists\, an evangelical tent revival\, and even a monster hunter crew. Your department must travel to Stockton and investigate the rumors – and if there is a creature in the lake\, to contain it with as little collateral damage as possible. \nBuilt on the robust Forged in the Dark framework\, “Omnicide SCP” is a game of risky Operations and high stakes. It uses a dice pool system for action resolution\, a Determination mechanic for narrative tension\, and a unique Redacted Action mechanic that allows for cinematic storytelling and deep strategic gameplay. Join us\, and step into the shadows. Serve humanity. Protect the world from what lies beyond. If you have questions you can always email us at events@nerdlouisville.org \n \nUp the Creek and Over the Mountain (Versus Stranger Stuff)\nGM: Art Thacker (he/him)\nLevel: BeginnerCharacters: Pregens provided \nDescription: This rules-light RPG is intentionally similar to the Stranger television phenomenon. This game emphasizes communal storytelling and roleplaying rather than mechanics–which will be taught to players at the start and are very simple to learn. This game has horror elements but is targeted at a PG -13 rating. \n Get Tickets \n \nThe Town Where Nothing Goes Wrong (D&D 5E)\nGM: Neil Wehneman (he/him)\nLevel: 1Characters: Pregens provided \nDescription: \nHappy Hills is a special sort of town. The type of town where nothing goes wrong. Only in Happy Hills\, that’s literally true. \nThe party must figure out the secret of Happy Hills\, all while working to keep a wedding from going horribly wrong. \nThis adventure is practically all puzzles and social encounters\, with combat unlikely. \n Get Tickets \n\nThe Deep Gate (Daggerheart)\nGM: Cali Calicott (he/him)\nLevel: BeginnerCharacters: Pregens provided \nDescription: The guardian of the Deep Gate disappeared inside hundreds of years ago\, but since monsters stopped coming out of the Deep Gate\, it slowly faded from collective consciousness… until now. You and your companions have discovered lost treasures hide behind the Deep Gate\, and through teamwork and bravery you’ll be able to recover them. Some years ago\, you were recruited into a quasi-sanctioned government-linked organization\, Delta Green\, that tasks volunteers with doing whatever is necessary to quash the infection of the “real world” with what they refer to as the “unnatural”–horrifying manifestations of the supernatural that can spread like a virus through the clueless masses of humanity if not eradicated. There is no way to do this work without losing your mind\, if not your soul\, and damaging your social and relational bonds. Even as work-a-day life starts to feel utterly unbearable\, you receive an “invitation to the opera\,” the code for being offered a Delta Green mission. DESCRIPTION:Roll Call #2\n Home\n Roll Call #2\n \nGame Details\n\n	Date & Time:\n September 5\n @\n1:00 pm\n –\n5:00 pm \nNew Ticketing Policy\nTicket sales will close at noon on the date of the event. If the minimum player count is not met the game will be cancelled out of respect for our volunteer Game Masters.  \nWe have two ticket options for each game: one for regular attendees and a discounted option for thieves run members.  \nWalk-ins are still absolutely welcome! We will do our best to fit you into a game. If you have questions you can always email us at events@nerdlouisville.org \n \nThe Game’s Afoot (Rivers of London)\nRan by Arthur Thacker\nLevel: Beginner\, Level 1 Characters: Pregens provided or BYOC \nDescription:There has been much ado at the Sherlock Holmes Pub\, with punters describing strange goings on and frightening encounters with eldritch entities. And the beer’s gone off. Normally a tacky stop on a bunch of sketchy London tours\, where the most exciting event is watching American and Japanese tourists overpay for microwaved meat pies\, there may actually be something supernatural happening this time. The Met\, in an overabundance of caution\, or just a typical amount of malingering\, has kicked the case to the Folly–the sub-unit of the police in charge of “weird bollocks.” You have been attached to the Folly in an adjunct capacity\, and because of the conspicuous absence of PC Peter Grant and CI Nightingale\, you are tasked to the investigation. Briefing at the Folly at 0900 sharpish! \nRivers of London is a fantasy game set in Ben Aaronovitch’s modern London. There are a bunch of novels\, but the gist is that magic is real\, was codified by Isaac Newton\, and causes problems for regular folk whether they know about it or not. The police have a special unit to deal with these problems. Player characters take on the roles of police constables or special consultants to investigate and deal with these events. There are supernatural elements\, but certainly nothing more triggering than a typical game of D&D or Call of Cthulhu (it is a Chaosium game with similar mechanics as CoC). \n Get Tickets \n \nSecrets of the Unlit Star (Pathfinder 2e)\nRan by Kenan Shelton \nLevel: 1Characters: Pregens provided or BYOC \nDescription: In the mist-shrouded marshes of Ustalav\, you are a group of adventurers who come upond a temple. Once you enter\, you become trapped 40 feet underground after a stone circle collapses beneath your feet. To escape the dark\, the you must must explore the underground dungeon\, battle wandering undead\, and defeat a malevolent entity with glowing red eyes. You’re only hope for salvation lies in solving ancient mysteries\, negotiating with strange inhabitants\, and recovering the eight missing fragments of a shattered relic known as the Unlit Star before the shadows consume you completely.  \nThis is a continuation of the story from last session. New players are welcome and will pick up where the story left amidst the dungeon! \n Get Tickets \nStar Wars: A Simple Job (Edge of the Empire)\nRan by John Stromberg \nLevel: BeginnerCharacters: Pregens provided \nDescription: It’s a simple smash and rescue\, a rich manor that a skilled set of individuals like you should have no problems getting into and rescuing the fair damsel.
