NerdLouvia 2022

NerdLouvia 2-day event proceeds will benefit our NextGenNerds program supporting organizations that serve at risk youth in Louisville, KY. NerdLouvia22 is an event kicking off on November 4th at 4p with early gaming and vendor access for VIP guests that wraps up with a VIP party including a DJ, Karaoke and a magic show.

Day 2 event for General Admission guests will open at noon. There are vendor booths, special guest DM’s, workshops on independent game design, improv and immersive DND with panel discussions on original DND character creation, cosplay, as well as how to get started as a Dungeon Master. Video and tabletop gaming libraries will be available for guests. Cash bar will be available onsite with a variety of food trucks.

Board, Tabletop and Role-playing Games

Just like previous years, NerdLouvia will offer up a mix of scheduled events and games on demand. Most importantly, we’re working with local nerds to bring you the best and most fulfilling gaming experience possible. Of course, We have our D20 drinking games, as well as the popular Board Game Swap table that will return, allowing you to trade in the old games you no longer want and walk out with new-to-you games to introduce to your friends.

Nerd Louisville is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to make Louisville, Kentucky the most awesome nerd city in the universe. We do this by fostering a sense of community and providing a hub to connect local nerds. In pursuit of our mission we created NextGenNerds to educate, inspire, and empower local youth. By focusing on the youth in our community we are helping to cultivate the next generation of nerds in Louisville.

NerdLouvia is our annual mini convention with proceeds benefiting the NexGenNerds program.

The VIP Party!

Darshwood- The Whiskey Wizard

Richard E. Darshwood is a highly charismatic performer who has perplexed and amazed many notable celebrities such as film-maker Martin Scorsese, Grammy Winner Miranda Lambert, Super Bowl Champion Clay Matthews of the Green Bay Packers and many more with his delightfully animated personality, witty antics and clever tricks.

His natural ability to fully captivate every audience he encounters has earned him two consecutive People’s Choice Awards from the International Brotherhood of Magicians and is precisely why he is affectionately known as “The Charming Trickster, himself.”

A recent graduate of The McBride School of Magic and Mystery in Las Vegas – where he also received training from several of the world’s leading stage hypnotists – he is now certified by the American Alliance of Hypnotists and is currently focusing on the study of social engineering with The Art of Charm Academy in Los Angeles, CA.

He has appeared on several network-affiliated television programs, performed in venues across the country (including Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas) and served as an honorary representative for The United States at the international magic festival, “IndiaJaal“, which was sponsored by Asia’s very first Academy of Magical Sciences in 2011.

In addition to performing as a strolling and stage entertainer, Darshwood is also well known for his thrilling key notes and lectures, motivational talks and developmental workshops for professionals who are eager to learn the magician’s secrets to attract, engage and influence ANYONE.

DJ Corey Elmore

DJ Corey Elmore does not only DJ stuff but also Karaoke, Performing Art and is a creative genius who curated ORCs Bash 2022. As one review said ” What doesn’t Corey do? Exceptionally talented and top notch human. 10/10 would recommend.”

The Unicorn Cabaret

The Unicorn Cabaret, produced by the Unicorn of Burlesque herself, Serendipity Love, is a quarterly Burlesque and Variety Revue Show premiering for the first time at Louisville’s own Logan Street Market in the Spring of 2021. Their mission is to bring you the very best of Louisville’s Burlesque and Variety performers, showcasing a diverse cast of the most talented and exciting entertainers Glitter Ball City has to offer!

Serendipity Love is a sassy and sweet Burlesque Dancer located in Louisville, KY and the Producers and Creative Director of The Unicorn Cabaret: The Best in Louisville Burlesque and Variety. She has been involved in the Burlesque community since 2011, and has performed all over the country. Serendipity is a colorful and creative performer who has trained in many dance forms, including belly dance, jazz and fusion to develop her unique style of dance. She blends the art of the classic strip-tease with modern and pop-culture aesthetics. Her acts always embody the magical and playful side of performance art. She sweats rhinestones and bleeds glitter and considers herself the Unicorn of Burlesque.
