We’re looking for reliable and self-motivated nerds in Louisville (and surrounding areas) to volunteer with us!

Nerd Louisville is an all-volunteer run 501(c)3 non-profit. Our mission is to make Louisville the most awesome nerd city in the universe by providing the ultimate hub for nerd news and information, supporting local nerdy groups and organizations, and cultivating a new generation of nerds.

What can you do?

We need help with a variety of tasks that you can help with!

• Track events and add them to our calendars
• Assist at events with various duties (signup, setup, cleanup, etc.)
• Photograph our events and articles
• Submit art and promotional materials
• Write articles about nerdy people and groups or help with editing
• Find interesting nerds and nerdy groups in Louisville to interview for podcast / articles
• Run games at our events and for Little Nerds initiatives
• Help to promote our organization and events
• Community outreach on social media (Twitter, Instagram, etc.) go through social boost review for traffic boosting on social media.
• And, much, much more!

Do you have some special skills (e.g. artist, coder, etc.) that we can leverage? Let us know!

Are you interested in volunteering?

We’re throwing a holiday party to thank our current volunteers and staff. And, we also want to invite folks interested in helping us in the coming year. We’re inviting potential volunteers to attend. Hang out with us, have a drink, grab some food, and sign up to volunteer with us.

The party will be on Dec. 17th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kaiju (event details).

We’re also expanding our Board of Directors!

In January, the Nerd Louisville board of directors will hold their 3rd annual meeting and nominating new members to our board. Our goal is to expand the board with members who are interested in taking the most active role in the direction of Nerd Louisville in the coming year. If you think you want to join our organization, the best way to begin is to start by volunteering.
