Up the Creek and Over the Mountain (Versus Stranger Stuff)

GM: Art Thacker (he/him)

Level: Beginner
Characters: Pregens provided

Description: This rules-light RPG is intentionally similar to the Stranger television phenomenon. Characters are teens navigating eerie happenings in their neighborhood and the perils of life in the 1980s. In this case, a classmate has gone missing, and the adults seem clueless about where to search for him. This scenario is located in rural eastern Kentucky, rather than sub-urban Indiana. The story blends the real and alternate history of the area. This game emphasizes communal storytelling and roleplaying rather than mechanics–which will be taught to players at the start and are very simple to learn. This game has horror elements but is targeted at a PG -13 rating.

The Town Where Nothing Goes Wrong (D&D 5E)

GM: Neil Wehneman (he/him)

Level: 1
Characters: Pregens provided

Description:

Happy Hills is a special sort of town. The type of town where nothing goes wrong. Only in Happy Hills, that’s literally true.

The party must figure out the secret of Happy Hills, all while working to keep a wedding from going horribly wrong.

This adventure is practically all puzzles and social encounters, with combat unlikely.

The Deep Gate (Daggerheart)

GM: Cali Calicott (he/him)

Level: Beginner
Characters: Pregens provided

Description: The guardian of the Deep Gate disappeared inside hundreds of years ago, but since monsters stopped coming out of the Deep Gate, it slowly faded from collective consciousness… until now. You and your companions have discovered lost treasures hide behind the Deep Gate, and through teamwork and bravery you’ll be able to recover them. TW: Fantasy violence.

We’ll do quick character creation at the table, please bring a phone or tablet with enough charge to last you through the event. Pregens will be available for those who prefer them.
