Up the Creek and Over the Mountain (Versus Stranger Stuff)
GM: Art Thacker
Level: Beginner
Characters: Pregens provided
Description: This rules-light RPG is intentionally similar to the Stranger television phenomenon. Characters are teens navigating eerie happenings in their neighborhood and the perils of life in the 1980s. In this case, a classmate has gone missing, and the adults seem clueless about where to search for him. This scenario is located in rural eastern Kentucky, rather than sub-urban Indiana. The story blends the real and alternate history of the area. This game emphasizes communal storytelling and roleplaying rather than mechanics–which will be taught to players at the start and are very simple to learn. This game has horror elements but is targeted at a PG -13 rating.

The Town Where Nothing Goes Wrong (D&D 5E)
GM: Neil Wehneman
Level: 1
Characters: Pregens provided
Description:
Happy Hills is a special sort of town. The type of town where nothing goes wrong. Only in Happy Hills, that’s literally true.
The party must figure out the secret of Happy Hills, all while working to keep a wedding from going horribly wrong.
This adventure is practically all puzzles and social encounters, with combat unlikely.
Escape the Vikings of Mann (Shadowdark)
GM: Andrew Bates
Level: Beginner (level 0)
Characters: Pregens provided
Description: You have been captured by vikings! Were you knocked unconscious while defending your hideage? Were you taken by surprise? Did you surrender so they wouldn’t massacre your family? It doesn’t matter now.
You were taken across the Irish Sea to the Isle of Mann. You and 23 other prisoners are shackled in a slave pen. The viking fleet has set off on another raid, leaving behind only enough guards to defend the longport.
On either end of the slave pen, twelve of you are shackled to a wooden beam. Tonight, one of you realized that the joints binding the beam to the wall have grown weak with age in the dampness. If you all work together, you can pull the beam free from the wall. You succeed! The twelve shackled across the pen follow your example and pull free as well. Now you are all standing in the slave-pen, in two long lines of twelve shackled to wooden beams. The noise of breaking free has alerted the guards. Two enter with spears leveled at you. What do you do?
