Character Creation Workshop w/ Introductory Adventure
(D&D 5E, 2024)

Ran by Neil Wehneman

Level: Beginner
Characters: We will create them!

Description: Led by an experienced Dungeon Master (and Nerd Louisville board member), this workshop will walk you through creating a Dungeons & Dragons (2024 Rules) character.

We’ll then put those characters to immediate use in an introductory adventure!

Character sheets, pencils, dice, minis, and maps will all be provided. You only need to bring yourself!

However, if you already have a copy of the Player’s Handbook (2024 Rules), bringing your own copy may be of use, but it’s not required. You are also welcome to bring your own favorite dice or a mini for your character if desired.

Trigger Warning: possibility of drowning during the ship-focused adventure

The Fey Sister’s Fate!
(D&D 5e)

Ran by Chris Tatum

Level: Beginner
Characters: Pregens provided

Description: The Mayor of the sleepy town of Bur Hollow has requested your help to determine the whereabouts of Melina, the town guard captain. The town is unprotected without her leadership and rests uncomfortably close to goblin lands. Time is of the essence as rumors swirl of an imminent goblin raid!

Ultraviolet Grasslands and the Black City 2e
(Songbirds 3rd edition )

Ran by Devin Deaton

Level: 1
Characters: Pregens will be provided

Description: This story begins at the edge of the world, at the Left End of the Right Road. At the westernmost outpost of humanity, the Violet City: bastion against the hordes, entrepôt to the exotic sunset lands, and last port of civilization before the trackless steppe studded with the detritus of the Long Ago. The last glimmer of the Rainbow before the skin-blistering glow of the Ultraviolet Grasslands. This is the end of the Right Road. Humanity’s dominions wind down in the purple haze that wreathes the sunrises of this western reach. No roads, but caravans brave the Ultraviolet Grassland into the eternal sunset of the Black City.

Ultraviolet Grasslands and the Black City (UVG) is a (mostly) system-less fantascience roleplaying setting designed to take the PCs on a long strange trip across a mythic steppe filled with remnants of space and time and distorted rifts. It is inspired by psychedelic heavy metal, the Dying Earth genre, and Oregon Trail games. This will be a multi-session adventure and over the months I hope to continue the caravan with you, to arrive, at last, at the end of the world…at the Black City. https://wizardthieffighter.itch.io/uvg-2e

Songbirds 3e is an eldritch roleplay system that uses d20s like Dungeons & Dragons, but is way more edgy and spacey. Like for instance the skill list is far out; you can check the vibe of a place or a person, you can get into mischief, or roll for passion, drama, or kinship. You play a reincarnated hero called a songbird, brought back to the world to fight for justice and freedom. Its got awesome spells and special abilities for its character roles, like Dragoon, Blue Mage, or Songbird Maiden. https://snowttrpg.itch.io/songbirds-3e
